In Bond and Duty Paid

Most of the wine we stock is listed for sale in bond (IB) and these prices include neither duty or VAT. As such, if you wish to have the wine delivered anywhere other than a bonded warehouse you will need to pay UK Excise Duty and VAT on top of the IB price. Wines that are listed DP on the site are already duty paid and only require the addition of VAT.

For In Bond Delivery, transfers to storage accounts at the major UK Bonded Warehouses will be charged at cost.
For Duty Paid Delivery, if the value your order is above £2500 then we will deliver the wine to you for free. If the value of your order is below this then we charge £20 plus VAT for delivery to mainland UK locations.

Please note that we do not currently deliver outside the UK.

Duty and VAT rates

UK Excise Duty is currently charged at the following rates per 9 litre case of wine:

Still wine with alcohol content exceeding 5.5% but less than 15% = £24.00 plus VAT
Still wine with alcohol content exceeding 15% but less than 22% = £32.00 plus VAT
Sparkling wine with alcohol content exceeding 8.5% but less than 15% = £30.75 plus VAT

The current VAT rate in the UK is 20% and this will be applied to all Duty and Delivery charges listed.
